In the movie Romeo + Juliet, Baz Luhrmann shows love leads to Violence. Love is very beautiful and will lead to some type of fight, it could be a verbal fight, fist fight or any other type of fight there is. In the movie Romeo+Juliet, there is lots of love that leads to violence. First thing that happens is when Romeo tells Tybalt that he's gonna marry his cousin, the 2 families Capulet and Montagues, both don't like each other. They are enemies, Romeo tells him because he wants to make peace with Tybalt, but Tybalt doesn't like that very much so he starts fighting Romeo and Romeo doesn’t want to fight back and he gets the crap kicked out of him.
Additionally, when Lord Capulet held a ball, Romeo has sneaked in with his friends which led to Tybalt realizing that he found Romeo at the Capulet party. His aggression towards Romeo contributes to the tragedy, therefore Tybalt is enraged that Romeo was at the party, saying, "Now by the stock and honour of my kin, / To strike him dead I hold it not a sin" (1.5.57-58). This conveys that Tybalt is eager to pursue violence to defend his family's honor, even if it threatens other people’s safety. This accost eventually leads to Tybalt's death which causes Lord Capulet to bring forward Juliet’s marriage to Paris. It created more pressure on Romeo and Juliet’s constrained relationship.
At a party one night, Romeo Montague sees Juliet Capulet, and they immediately fall in love. Unfortunately, their two families had had a fued for generations. Because of this, they must meet and secret whenever they want to see each other. Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, and is exiled to Mantua by the Prince. This causes them to come up with a plan to be together.
At the Capulets party, Tybalt sees Romeo enter and knows that he was never invited to the party, so he wants to attack him for sneaking in but displays devotion by following Capulets order. By leaving Romeo alone, Tybalt shows his restrain from quarrelling Romeo and obeys his uncle’s orders. After banter between Tybalt and Mercutio, Tybalt slays Mercutio, and this helps him exhibit his dependable qualities to his family and himself. Telling Mercutio that he will battle for his life, Tybalt says, “I am for you” (3.1.84). Tybalt encounters a near death experience but he kills Mercutio first, demonstrating that he has a will to hurt someone and puts his own life on the line for others.
Tybalt picks a quarrel with Mercutio and his friends and Mercutio is accidentally killed as Romeo intervenes to try to break up the fight. Romeo pursues Tybalt in anger, kills him and is banished by the Prince for the deed. Juliet is anxious that Romeo is late meeting her and learns of the fighting from her Nurse. With Friar Lawrence’s help it is arranged that Romeo will spend the night with Juliet before taking refuge at Mantua. To calm the family’s sorrow at Tybalt’s death the day for the marriage of Juliet to Paris is brought forward.
Tybalt, in the interim, still frustrated that Romeo had sneaked into the Capulet ball, provokes him to a duel. Later, Check Paris converses with Capulet about wedding his girl Juliet, however Capulet requests that Paris hold up an additional two years and welcomes him to go to an arranged Capulet ball.
