“Romeo and Juliet” is a tragic love story of two young people who dare to defy their families’ hatred of each other. Romeo, a Montague, falls in love with Juliet, a Capulet, and they begin a secret relationship. However, a chain of tragic events unfolds as a result of their love story. The violence in the play is one of the main themes that drives the plot forward. Throughout the play, the violence is highlighted and described at length. The feud between the Capulets and Montagues has long been ongoing and is constantly on display. Both families engage in acts of revenge and retaliation, causing a series of conflicts and deaths. The violence in the play is so intense that it even leads to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet themselves. One
