Violence In Romeo And Juliet

150 Words1 Pages
The chorus starts us off in Verona, where an old argument between two families, the Capulets and the Montagues, caused new violence in the city, and two children of these families were affected by the argument. Only the death of Romeo and Juliet, the “star-crossed lovers”, can end the feud. Romeo tells Benvolio about the girl he loves, but she does not love him back. Lord Capulet denies Paris’s proposal for his daughter Juliet, but he invites him to a party to look at other women to see if he really loves Juliet. Benvolio talks Romeo into going to the party to find other women besides Rosaline. At the party, Romeo notices how beautiful Juliet is and wants to know who she is. Romeo worships Juliet at the party and they fall instantly in love.
