Out of all of the stories, “The Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl explains that violence can come out in the most mysterious of ways, and sometimes you might just get away with it . First, the story “The Lamb to the Slaughter” shows how violence can grow over time. For example, Mr. Maloney says, “I know it’s a tough time to be telling you this, but there simply wasn’t any other way” (Dahl, 2).
