Are violent video games really to blame for all the real world violence. Recently there has been a lot of violence going on around the world and it has caused people to call for censorship of violent video games. Violent video games are not the cause of all the violence going on around the world. The crime rate in the U.S. is actually not that high. Untreated mental illness is one of the biggest causes. If violent video games really caused crime there would be an increase in crime every time a violent video game came out. It also keeps criminals busy. Since violent people like to play these games it keeps them too busy to commit crimes. Crime rates in other countries are high.
