Visual images increase the understanding of complex issues because they are able to increase knowledge on the topic. A recent event that happened was in the Las Vegas shooting at the music festival. A picture that is commonly found is shows three people who running and grasping on to each other.The image display a multitude of people climbing over the fence and an assortment people lying on the floor. This picture displays an act which was horrifying is occurring at that moment. It also presents an idea that this event was affecting many people. The image exhibits that a large amount of people have become injured and the possibility that more are at risk based on the three people running. In the graphic novel, Persepolis an image that increase someone’s knowledge on some major changes of the Iranian Revolution. The panel shows an image of a woman labeled the fundamentalist who is fully covered in clothing. It also shows a woman titled with modern wearing a veil but it is not covering her whole face.
