I do not believe that Vampires exist. Neither do I believe that it is possible that they exist. There may be some individuals who crave blood for a reason related to a psychological illness, but no human needs to drink blood to survive. Science has proven the reality behind the “symptoms” of vampirism. The myth has been effectively debunked, except for a life on the movie screens. Vlad the Impaler and Countess Elizabeth Bathory were mentally ill, not vampires. True Blood and Blade are not based on true stories.

The origin of the belief in the existence of vampires probably occurred during the Medieval period when the Bubonic Plague, or Black Death, was ravaging Asia and Europe killing what is now believed to be estimated around 25 million people across the continent The Black Death manifested itself in the form of dark spots, swollen lymph nodes, bloody sputum and vomitus, and, eventually, death (Jenkins M. This work depicts a being of grandeur who lures an unsuspecting Jonathan Harker to his castle. Upon arrival, Harker believes that Dracula is an ideal host with the occasional revelation of odd behaviors or practices, but he quickly realizes that Dracula is an ungodly creature that must be stopped (Stoker, 1986 ). After this discovery, Harker also realizes that since his arrival, he has been trapped within the castle walls with no way out except through the front door of the castle (Stoker, 1986 ).
