What if you were Jew in the middle of World War ll, would you just hide until the Nazis’ found you and “get it over with” already? Well this isn’t the case for Vladek Spiegelman, he is determined to risk his life surviving no matter what obstacles come his way. Vladek has a set of skills that helped him survive the Holocaust. Even after the war, being resourceful has been a skill that has stuck with him ever since. The war impacted Vladek’s perspective of being resourceful, since this is the skill that saved his life. An example would be on page 116 when Vladek found a telephone wire of a trash can and kept it because it had value. “...this is very hard to find...inside its little wires.
