In the graphic novels Maus and Maus II by Artie Spiegelman, Artie tells the story of his father’s experiences in the Holocaust as well as his life while interviewing his father. As we read the story we learn about the horrible things Vladek experienced, as well as how they affect him today. Vladek grew and changed a lot through the Holocaust, which changed how he acted and raised Artie. Because of this Artie was indirectly affected by the Holocaust through his father.
