I would consider my most significant contribution as a volunteer to be as a counsellor-in-training at Earl Bales Community Day Camp. Before becoming a counsellor, I completed a volunteer training program in July 2013, which I found to be an extremely personally rewarding position. During this program, I worked with children between the ages of three and eleven, coming up with creative and entertaining programming, while helping each camper on an individual basis. This camp is a community camp and is advertised solely by word-of-mouth. I think that I made a great difference in the greater community when volunteering at the camp, by helping to shape the children during some of the most developmentally important years of their lives.
