Two of the definitions are written in this book. Bradley and Howell state, “dimension is the number of coordinates required to specify a point in the object” (p.64). They also mention some main topics of dimension such as: fractal dimension, a twist on dimension, higher dimension, and entering lower dimension which allows the authors to discuss fractal geometry. A pivotal part of this chapter is Herman Grassmann’s research which describes dimension as a bridge that connects science and faith. Additionally, the material of higher dimensions helps us to understand how God transcends the universe through observable principles such as our senses, and experiences.
Arthur Currie was one of the greatest generals in Canada. He led Canada to win Vimy Ridge and he was known for his training, strategies and for telling his soldiers the goal of what they were doing. Arthur Currie trained his soldiers in variety of ways, which lead to his greatness. Currie was in fact devoted to his men. Determined to keep casualties low, he challenged impractical orders from the high command, ensured every attack was meticulously prepared by putting them through rigorous training (Unlikely General, 2001).
The protagonist of the novel is Troy Maxson, a fifty-three year-old, African American who works for the sanitation department. Troy used to play baseball in the Negro Leagues. As soon as the Major Leagues started to accept blacks, Troy’s athletic ability began to degrade. Wilson symbolically gives the last name Maxson to Troy, because that was the name of the line that divided the north and the south during the civil war era. In addition, Troy’s name represent those who lived on the line between two contrasting viewpoints.

During Dred Scott vs. Sanford (1856), Chief Justice Taney stated that “The words “people of the United States” and “citizens” are synonymous terms” and “The question before us is, whether the [people of African ancestry] compose a portion of this people.” He answered his own question with “We think they are not, and that they are not included, and were not intended to be included, under the word “citizens” in the Constitution.” In 1787, the Constitution was written. “We the People” at the time were elite white males. It didn’t include colored, Natives, women, or impoverished people.

John Burton talks about his experiences after he graduated from Longwood University on how he used his degree in mathematics. First, he talks about bucket of marbles and goes thru what an athlete, art, and math majors would do with the marbles. Each major would do something different with the marbles athlete would play a game, art major would make a sculpture, and as math major we would count and organize them then find the probability for the different marbles. As math majors, we use problem solving to solve are problems in school and in life.

On the 4th of July, Kevin Durant announced he would sign with the Golden State Warriors, while Dwyane Wade took his talents from South Beach to Chicago. It’s difficult to say which decision is more shocking, as both players were considered their former team’s franchise player.
The most a 14 year old boy should have to worry about in 1838 is what chores he has that night, and how long each is going take him so that he can get back to whatever reckless things he feels like doing that day. But, not this time. Andrew Jackson the white president for the next 4 years decided he wants what is ours. He has started sweeping everyone and everything east of the Mississippi river, just because he wanted the land, and if we wouldn’t willingly walk away from what’s ours, he will make us at gunpoint. In this time, families got split up and people died.
The time between the American Revolution and the Civil War was a period of change in the United States. While the Northern states moved over time to eliminate the use of slavery, the South wanted to cultivate slavery because significance it had in the southern economy. The Southern states, during this time period, attempted to reason for merits of slavery and pushed against abolitionist ideas of a slave society being iniquitous.

Through using artwork, or lack there of, point of view, and traveling consciousness, Moore creates an awareness of the fourth dimension shared through the reader and Gull. Within Alan Moore’s comic books and graphic novels, the term “fourth dimension” is referred to as a relationship between space and time.
A life lived through the lens of mathematics.
The concept of time plays a major role because time is slowed down in space. There is a scene in the film that shows Cooper and the rest of the crew land on the first potential "habitable" planet. They are faced with the reality that the planet is only water and Uninhabitable. When Dr. Brand and Doyle are trying to collect the data to see if the planet is habitable, two enormous waves appear. While one wave is going away from them, the other is coming full force towards them.
It also has a lot of extensive laboratory work which is a key aspect of psychology, which has allowed me to hone my practical skills to a high level of precision. This in turn will help me conduct research for my dissertation as well as any further research. By studying Maths, it has allowed me to develop analytical and problem solving skills. There are various ways of solving a mathematical problem, however each method has its pros and cons, which I believe relates to how there are various approaches to psychological disorders and that different approaches have its strengths and disadvantages.
