My interest in graduate school is to receive the training and educational background that will compliment my professional and previous education experience, so that I can become an organizational leader in higher education. My goal is to use my understanding of leadership principles for consulting practices in construction management for training and development as well as instruction at the college and university level. I am influenced by this field because I believe that training and development in education and the work environment is predetermined by many influences which include: teaching philosophy, state and local districts, textbooks, instructors, government and professional organizations. The courses offered seem to reflect more of my professional goals and are in line with courses that I have already taken. I think that this program and educational institution would be a great solution to my educational needs and gives me an opportunity to contribute and participate with students and faculty to create strong connections that will be relevant to my education as well as support for my long term goals. My interest about Walden University online courses was simple, I enjoy taking online courses, as I work full time, am a full time mother and am self-motivated. I have had previous success as an online student and enjoy working independently as well as with a team. I want to develop a clear and concise understanding of leadership and the education profession and believe that Walden University will help me combine skills to help me develop the opportunity to work with a network of scholars
