The Hives - Walk Idiot Walk

I am going to write about the band The Hives. The reason why I wanted to write about this band is because I love the genre and I think their music is really good. The first time I heard the song ”Walk Idiot Walk” I just fell for the rythm. I actually heard this song for the first time, in many years, a week ago, and now I can`t get his song out of my head.

The Hives is a band from Fagersta in Sweden and is known for the album ”Vendi Vidi Vicious” that came out in April in 2000, that was the second album released from the band. The genre they belong in is rock, garage rock and garage punk.

The song´s name is ”Walk Idiot Walk” and was on the album ”Tyrannosaurus Hives”. The album came out in 2004 and was the third album from The Hives. The song was written by Randy Fitzsimmons. The song was released July 6. The song was featured in the one episode of Smallville and in one episode in Veronica Mars (The TV-show). The music video is very weird. The whole thing starts with a big ”!” and then Pelle Almqvist appear and start singing the song. After a while he starts to walk on the walls where it is written ”Walk Idiot Walk” and then other letters shows up and make another words. The song is about how the media and societies say about the politics and the other things that is happening around the world. For example how a person can say to the media that his country is safe for many years, but two weeks later is in the dangerzone of war. Other say it in another way than the first one you talked to said. The song tries to say that you can´t belive what everyone is saying because you never know what will
