Abstract For this paper I have been asked to research a variety of information about any Fortune 500 company of my choice. Despite Walmart’s efforts to practice good ethical behaviors and choices, in the past decade they have been labeled one of the worst ethical companies in the US. I will discuss two recent issues the Mexican Bribery scandal, as well as the gun control issue. In 2012, it was released that dating back to the year of 2005 officials at Walmart de Mexico allegedly made payments of almost twenty- four million dollars to Mexican government officials to obtain building permits. It is believed that both US and Mexican laws were violated. The Foreign Corrupt Policies Act clearly makes bribery of foreign officials illegal.
