Last Saturday I drove to Walmart which took 10 minutes. The reason I went was to create a fascinating research on the variety of food choices Walmart have. Upon entering the building I could see that they have a wide variety of food like; Dairy, snacks, meat and poultry, seasonings, fruits and vegetables, bakery, dry packaged goods, drinks, frozen foods, and organic foods. They also had perishable goods and non-perishable goods. Some of the perishable goods include; dairy and meat and poultry. While the non-perishable foods include; canned goods, crackers, dried fruits and peanut butter. In the fruit and vegetable sections they had unprocessed fruits, which includes; apple, banana, grapes, corn, potatoes, onions, eggs, okra, broccoli, unsweetened almond milk and many more. The quality of the perishable was good. They all looked vibrant and seem fresh. Has I was walking towards the milk section I checked on the expiration on the milk and it stated Exp: 10/1/16. The closest product/food that Walmart had was pumpkin. This was produced at The Maize at Sherman Farm that is fifteen minutes away from Walmart. It’s located at East Conway, NH. The farthest product/food that I saw they produce was strawberry which was in California. …show more content…

Firstly at the farmer’s market the vendors, who are the farmers are very interactive and kind. They gave information about their product while at Walmart the cahiers are less interactive and don’t know anything about the product they're selling. Secondly there is also a big difference in price; At the farmer's market the prices are relatively high because they are healthier for us while at Walmart the prices are cheaper because they are not. Has they say we pay for what we want, so if we want healthier food then the prices will be a little higher than at a grocery store.
