Coronation Corporation As Walt Disney once said, “When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do. And one thing it takes to accomplish something is courage” (“Walt Disney Quotes”). This is exactly the mentality I had while learning about working as a professional Disney Face Character: curiosity and ambition. I still remember my first visit to a Disney park when I was only six years old. Meeting the princesses in the park brought me greater joy than I had ever felt! From personal experience, I know the excitement of meeting a “real-life” Disney Princess. I want to be that source of joy for children; I want to fill them with smiles and memories that they will cherish forever. I have always had a passion for anything related …show more content…
“Behind each journey through Disney Internships & Programs, there is a legacy founded by our participants from around the world” (Disney Internships & Programs). The Disney College Program prepares those with little to no experience who are interested in working under Disney cooperations. Sarah Kalin, a graduate of the program, explained the simplicity in applying for the program. “I was notified within a week of my application of my acceptance” (Kalin). Those that later received a call were then brought back in to read scripts, practice eight-count improvisational dances, and show their skills to the judges for job consideration.” The auditions are taken very seriously and exceptional performances are expected. According to Disney Auditions, when auditioning, bringing a clear headshot of yourself and a full resume with listed skills to present to the judges is vital to remember. Many different skills are needed in order to succeed in this career. Through four years of choir, three years of drama, and a lifetime of a growing fondness and infatuation with anything related to Disney, I have been immersed in the learning of vital abilities. I also have an inclination towards activities related to art and creativity. Makeup is one of my strongest skills and favorite hobbies. As I will explain later, this skill is required of the Face Characters every morning. I also enjoy spending time with children of all ages. I feel that my talents with music and children would equip me for this
