The entertainment industry would not be what it is today if it were not for Walt Disney. His creative skills and innovative ability to transform what animation is known to be, allowed Walt to pursue whatever his mind could imagine. For him to accomplish his goals as an animator, he needed to start somewhere small and have the support of his family. Walt Disney’s early opportunities and deep involvement with work as he grew up allowed him to achieve the right mindset for him to become an iconic figure in his time. Early in his life, Disney developed good working habits from his father and experience, which without a doubt, helped him in the long run. His childhood home was where it all started. His imagination to draw led him to sell his work to his neighbors. Since his family was not making much money there, they moved to Kansas City where he had to work delivering newspapers seven days a week. Even though he was busy working, he still managed to make time for his drawings by taking drawing and photography classes in high school. While Walt was in Kansas City, he took his love for animation to the next level and began working for small businesses. While working at his first art studio, he met a lifelong partner named UB Iwerks who played a major role in an animated character which they created. They both got fired, so Walt asked Iwerks to join him in starting their own company and he accepted.
