Walt Disney Stock There are many different stocks out there in the world, but the one I decided to do my stock project on was Walt Disney. Walt Disney was first founded on October 16, 1923 by a young man with the name Walt Disney. Soon after Mr. Disney arrived in California, he was a success. The first cartoon he had made was called Alice's Wonderland. Walt disney Studios was originally named Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio until it was further changed. In 1934 Walt Disney had informed his animators that they were going to make an animated feature film. The film he had informed the animators about was the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film had taken three years to create, but that winter during Christmas time in the year of 1937, the film was finished. The film was a spectacular hit, and held a record of the highest grossing film of all time until it was surpassed by Gone With the Wind. …show more content…

One thing that fascinated him was amusement parks. Walt Disney had always taken his two daughters to zoos and carnivals, but he always ended up sitting down on a bench and watching them have fun. Mr. Disney had felt that there should be a park where both parents and children could go and have fun together. After several years of planning and construction, the new park called “Disneyland” opened on July 17, 1955. Disneyland had been a totally new type of park. Observers came up with the term “theme park” yet it did not seem to suite Disneyland.
After the great success of Disneyland, it was in Walt's nature to consider another park on the East Coast.
