Walt Disney During the era of the twenties, Walt Disney was a big inspiration to millions of people. Walt Disney will and should be remembered for generations to come due to his hard teen life his money issues and his ability to be creative and overcome all the obstacles that came in his way of becoming a creator and producer.
Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901. Walt Disney had a family of seven growing up, his father Elias Disney, his mother Flora Call Disney and his three brothers Roy Disney, Herbert Disney, Raymond Disney and his sister Ruth Flora Disney. Walt and Ub Iwerks started producing Oswald the Rabbit cartoons for Universal Studios the first appearance of this was on September 5, 1927. When the contract ended walt and his brother decided to create their own character. Walt's first success was Steamboat Willie, which was the first all sound cartoon in 1928. Walt got married to Lillian Marie Bounds in 1925 and she was one of the first employees to work with Walt. During this time Walt created many characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie, and Goofy. One of his greatest success in the 1930s was the three little pigs due to its great and clever use of music, sound, and material. Another one of Walt's successes was the Alice Comedies. After this Walt Disney became a recognized hollywood figure. Walt disney started to branch out and extend his studio and he included a training school for the new generation of artist. By doing this it was possible for the production of the movie snow white the first feature length cartoon. Walt disney has had many failures in his career some of which have become really famous today. The 1942 movie Bambi lost money when it first came out but then later on it became one of the classic disney movies with a rating of 90 rotten tomatoes.
