Early Life
Walt Disney’s early life presented many journeys. Born on 1901 of December, Walt Disney was born in Hermosa, Illinois to Elias and Flora Disney. He was the children out of five children, ( four boys and two girls).
Disney lived most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri. At a young age, Disney began drawing and selling them to friends and neighbors. In 1911, his family moved to Kansas City, where Disney developed a love for trains. His brother Roy got him a job at the Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio, where he met cartoonist Ubbe Eert Iwerks, better known as Ub Iwerks. He worked at Kansas City Ad Company, where he made commercials. From the ad company, he recruited Fred Harman as his first employee. Walt Disney did pursue a career. “ You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.”
Disney and his brother pooled their money and moved to Hollywood. Disney’s friend, Iwerks, also relocated to California. There the three began Disney Brothers’ Studio.
Disney’s $17 million Disneyland theme park opened on July 24, 1955, in Anaheim, California. Also, with star Ronald Reagan helped Walt with the enterprise on what was once an orange grove. After a tumultuous opening day involving several mistakes (including the disturbing of chiliad about false requests), the site became known as a place where children and families could seek, adore rides and meet the Disney characters.
