One of the world’s most famous amusement parks to attention is Disney. Disney is expanded their parks since the very beginning and plan to continue to add on new and exciting attractions. Disney first began in 1923 by Walt Disney and his brother Roy, together they owned “Disney Brother and Cartoon Studio” but later would change the name to “Walt Disney Studio.” Walt signed a contract with M.J Winkler and began his first series of cartoons, “Alice Comedies” which he worked on for four years since leaving Kansas City. “Alice Comedies” was a success, however, Disney wanted to start a new series called “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” but came to the realization that he was betrayed and he didn’t own Oswald. M.J Winkler purposely went behind Walt back and tried to make “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” cheaper and without Disney. Soon after, Disney made sure that he owned the right to everything he created. In 1928, Mickey Mouse was born and was a major success. Besides animation, on July 17, 1955 Disney opened a new amusement park called Disneyland. Walt once said, “Disneyland would never be completed as long as there was imagination left in the world.” Since 1955, Disneyland still gets new additions to the park. According to Smart Asset in 2014, “Admissions alone brought in $5 billion, not including food and other in-park sales, which combined total an additional $5 billion.” A total of 19 billion people visited the park in 2014. However, price for admission have been going up in the past years. When the park first opened in 1971, price for admission was $3.50!
