The people that have been raised up with all things Disney and have witnessed the generosity of Walt Disney, have learned to share and to be kind. Their lives have changed for the better. Universal Studios wanted a cartoon rabbit so Charles Mintz hired Walt and Ub Iwerks, the creators of Oswald. They did this so that Universal could eventually get Walt to give up Oswald, all ended well because Disney regained ownership of Oswald in 2006. As a matter of fact, Mickey and friends, the loving characters we grew up with, were all created because Walt had to give up Oswald. Another character fun fact is Steamboat Willie, the first animation to incorporate synchronized music and sound effects, is when Mickey became a huge successful icon.
