Some of the most magical moments in a child's life are thanks to one of the most imaginative minds of our time. Walt Disney is unforgettable and was a very successful person. He was a creator of motion-picture and created short films as well as many other iconic movies. He was a visionary who was ahead of his time. In addition, he is also the creator of the world famous theme park Disneyland. Much of his legacy, though it began in the past, is still continued today. Walter Elias Disney was born December 5th 1901 in Chicago Illinois. Born into the family of Elias and Flora Call Disney, he also had three older brothers by the names of: Herbert, Raymond, and Roy. Disney also briefly worked on advertisements for Kansas City Film Ad Company. Around this time alongside Iwerks, Disney’s first short film was debuted in theatre in 1921. Disney made a deal with local Kansas theater and formed the Laugh-O-Gram, where he showcased many of his short films that were widely popular at first. Though there are not many charities and organizations specific to Walt Disney, many charities do have partnerships with Disney including the Make a Wish Foundation. Disney has contributed to the imaginations of millions of children all across the world. Walt Disney inspired many people to follow their dreams and to imagine. The world is full of endless possibilities and Disney encouraged them to engage in those possibilities. He was a man who made the impossible, possible. His movies are full of underlying messages that teach society important messages that are easier explained through the medium of film. My sister and I have been fans of Disney all our lives and seen almost every movie and heard every song. However, I never took the time to recognize and understand the man behind the mouse. I learned that Mickey was inspired by a small mouse that was in Disney’s apartment and stood by him when he drew his many cartoons and inspired one of the most famous cartoon characters of all time, Mickey Mouse. I discovered that Walt Disney had to truly work hard to make his way to the top of the animation world. To me, it just seemed that Disney was immediately shot in stardom and acknowledged for his talent. In conclusion, Walt Disney was an extremely hard working revolutionary influence on the world
