Disney succeeded in the making of a popular cartoon, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, only for it and his staff to be taken away from him. In order to regain his confidence, Disney knew that he needed to find a breakthrough in animation. What Disney chose to further on in animation was sound; he wanted his animations to seem realistic. The problem was, how to find a way to get sound on his films. “Sound was integral to the action, and required being scored to a degree of complexity that even live-action films were not doing” (Kurtti, 2012), states the article.

Someone is always going to have something negative to say about your work. All you can do is take that criticism and learn from it. This quote is a very good example of what it is like to be proud of your work but then someone spits on it.
