1941, the USA army moved to the Disney lot and stayed there for approximately eight months. During that time, Disney did not have much money to make feature films. He spent all that time making government contracts that required training and patriotic films like Victory Through Air Power in 1943. Disney produced many educational and industrial films at that time. After years of hard work, Disney and his staff finally decided to take the next step which was something very significant to our state and the entire world. Disneyland became a real dream for Walt Disney after so much effort. It was in the year of 1955 when Walt Disney Company took a great step of faith with the creation of the first Disneyland in Anaheim, California. “The terrain was approximately 160-acre orange grove in Anaheim that cost approximately $17 millions of dollars”. (Walt Disney (1901 - 1966)) Originally, Walt had in mind a family theme park where children and parents could have fun together. Since the original site Disneyland had some attendance and visitor decreases over the years, Disneyland has expanded its attractions over time and has spread worldwide with parks in other countries such as Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong.
