Hidden in a picture waiting to be found. That is if you can find him. He is a man wearing a white and red striped shirt, blue jeans, and a white and a red puff hat. His name, Waldo. The popular posters and books have asked society to find him. Well society has answered that call and found Waldo not once, but possibly millions of times. Why? Could it be for the simple enjoyment of the five minutes it takes to find Waldo, the challenge in finding someone so cleverly hidden, or because we all can compare to Waldo, whether we realize it or not? The question has been asked about where Waldo is? Well, he is found everywhere if we just open our eyes. He is every child and person that is overshadowed in society. Waldo is that person who has the potential to be great, but is overshadowed by people who have “greater”. Waldo is the person who is heard, but never listened to. He is the majority of the world, but it is our job to stop being Waldo. We must not just ask where Waldo is, but how do we help Waldo. …show more content…
Subsiquently they are hidden within the classrooms, the playground, and possibly in the family. Children are set up to be Waldo. A childhood of Waldo may not be what the children need or want. Continuously children who are Waldo will most of the time be a Waldo considering they are told to be themselves, and their selves are Waldo. If they continue throughout their childhood to be Waldo what is to become of them in middle school or high school? Students who sleep through class or students who just stop caring? To help the Waldo children who have this problem we must convince them that they should put themselves out there and shine where they know they will shine, because if they continue to be a Waldo they will not live up to who they truly could
