"A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything" Malcolm X. Malcolm X and Walter Lee are a lot a like in both parts, at the beginning and the end of there lives. Both hard and gritty in the beginning and by the end they changed dramatically. Some would say for the best others might say for the worst. Here soon you will understand exactly why Malcolm and Walter are a like and some what different. Malcolm started out being a young "thug" some would say and Walter was as far down on the totem pole as they come. Life wasn’t the best for ether of them. Malcolm was making money by helping run a street side lotto gambling market. He would hustle people everyday for there money with a very low chance of winning. He set down the bottle and never drank again he set down the drugs and never touched them again. He stopped consulting with the white women and found the love of his wife named Betty. They had four lovely daughter's. He changed his life for the better by trying to bring unity to the world by just talking but at the speech on February 21, 1965, three gunmen stormed up to Malcolm which he was onstage at the time. They shot him 15 times at close range. The 39 year old was pronounced dead on arrival at New York’s Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Although Walter also changed, Walter has realized that life isn't always going to be fair. You have to enjoy the people that you are with and enjoy there company. Walter wasn’t as physical of a change as Malcolm's might have been but he for sure learned a life lesson that he will carry forever. Both Walter Lee and Malcolm X changed through out there lives wether in the play or the movie. Both men in the pits at the beginning of there lives but one event can change your lives for the better. It can be as simple as your brother talking to you about the teachings of a christ like figure or just a simple check in the mail. Don't fall for anything and always remember to stand for something you believe in.
