Walter James Palmer is a dentist in Wisconsin who killed and skinned Cecil, a loved lion from Zimbabwe Hwange National Park. Palmer lured Cecil out of the park by tieing a dead animal to the back of his car, and then shooting Cecil with a crossbow. Palmer then tracked the wounded animal for 40 hours before shooting and killing the lion. With the help from two other men, Palmer then skinned Cecil’s corpse and cut off his head, leaving his body outside of the park. Many people were upsetted by Walter’s actions and spoke out over the internet or through live protests.
