The Walton Arts Center’s differentiation strategy if it has one; is it seeks to create an appreciation for art as well as opportunities to learn how to create art itself. According to our text, a differentiation strategy is one that combines competencies, key capabilities, and other skills which contribute to its performance (Lester & Parnell, 2006). The Art center essentially has different product lines from which to cater to the diverse audiences in Northwest Arkansas. By building a learning center, hands-on learning of the physical arts can be developed; while the programming of the events center draws visitors to the performing arts.
