Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost Wanderlust Adventures is the latest installment in the Wanderlust series and is available on Steam and through the Humble Store. It is an Online Action-Adventure RPG in a retro art style that will call upon with your nostalgic lofe for arcade games. While the game boasts a large world for you to explore with procedurally generated levels, it still seems two-dimensional in more ways than one. If you have played the previous game, Wanderlust Rebirth, you probably shouldn't consider playing this game; it doesn't even lick the boots of its predecessor. If it is your first time playing a Wanderlust game, then you will probably be able to get a bit more enjoyment out of it without mourning some decisions made as fans of the previous game might. It is unclear what exact portion of the game causes it to be such a chore to play: the repetitive and monotonous gameplay, the unintuitive controls, or the predictable layouts, but somehow it manages to bore me out of my mind. The only redeeming quality is that it's only about 8 hours long if you are a completionist; Wanderlust Adventures has little replay value, so you needn't ever play it again. The game neglects to give you much of a tutorial as well, so after an hour of roaming around aimlessly with your 8-bit doggy companion, you're none the wiser about what your purpose is. Eventually, you'll discover that there is a plot and that the story actually isn't all that bad, but after being subjected to the gameplay, it can be pretty hard to focus on. Soon you will be on your merry way, trying to traverse an unnecessarily big map for a laughably long time, just to get very little satisfaction out of
