World War Two was a devastating moment in the history of the world. Many people died for their belief in a religion, dictators wanting to control the world, and the creation of the new weapons that can be used to attack others. The new weapons, to be more specific, was the atom bomb. The atom bomb had a code name; the Manhattan Project. The Manhattan Project benefited from extremely intelligent, experienced, and effective leaders. One of them being the famous Albert Einstein. FDR and Stalin warned Tojo( Leader of Japan) that if they dont surrender they will “prompt and utter destruction” will happen. Japan declined the surrender.The atomic bomb was dropped twice. One on Hiroshima, and the other on Nagasaki. This won the war on Japan, and ended World War Two. People to this day ask if that was a necessary action. The dropping of bombs was not necessary to win the war because Japan was already weak before the bombs, killed so many civilians, and the tremendous amount of damage that was caused. …show more content…

Japan was already facing problems from America because America was taking back the land that Japan conquered by doing a war tactic called, island hopping. After they got really close to the island they made raids with incendiary bombs by targeting industries. This tactic is called strategic bombing. This made it “impossible for Japan to carry on a large scaled war”(B). At that point Japan was weak and wouldn 't be able to continue the war due to the lack of resources that it had. As a matter of fact the government knew that “Japan was essentially defeated and that we could win the war in another six months”(D). There was no real reason to drop the bomb on Japan. They just can 't continue the war because their country would fall deeper into depression. Japan was too weak and the atom bombs was just a big screw you by the
