He may have committed acts that were tragic, but just because someone kills someone else does not mean they are a terrorist. Also on October 16, 1859, he led 21 men on a raid of the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry. He planned to arm slaves with weapons that they stole from the arsenal, his plan had failed. The ironic thing about this raid was that the first casualty was a free black slave. John Brown risked his life to free others. He knew he could have been killed or incarcerated, but he still raided places to save a lot of people. He was also a part of the Underground Railroad and if caught, he would have been killed. . But most people in those days thought nothing was wrong with slavery most thought was right to own slaves. John Brown thought otherwise, and he fought for what was right. People have many bad opinions toward John Brown. One reason is he murdered people to achieve his goal. In addition, he took the law into his own hands, and he put other lives in danger.
