Was John Lennon Justified

In the 1960s the music of the legendary band, The Beatles, touched the lives of millions of people all over the world and greatly impacted the sound of music from then on. John Lennon was one of the members of this English rock band (John Lennon Biography). Not only was Lennon an incredible musician, he was also a peace activist who was greatly committed to his work in the anti-war movement, persuading people to protest against the Vietnam War. During this time he met his wife Yoko Ono, who worked with him to promote peace, and the couple had two kids (The John Lennon Peace Movement). However, with Lennon’s fame, also came danger. On December 9, 1980 a crazed man, named Mark David Chapman who wished to make a name for himself, assassinated Lennon outside of his apartment in Manhattan (Harriet). John Lennon’s assassination was unjustified because he was admired by millions of fans, worked towards peace, and was still living a happy life with his wife and family; however, some believe his assassination was justified do to his past controversial behavior.
