Julius Caesar was born into one of Rome’s oldest families. He was a patrician or nobles who could trace their history back to the very beginning of Rome. Julius Caesar’s goal in life was to bring glory to his family as they were very successful. Julius Caesar became a very Impressive Orator and he rose up through the ranks. I believe that Julius Caesar is a hero and even If he is arrogant his accomplishments have been for Rome and all he has ever wanted was Rome to become the greatest civilization known to man. The first reason Julius Caesar is a hero In my eyes Is because he was the only man capable of conquering Gaul. There was no other man In Rome that was as skilled as Caesar. He was a master strategist and according to the article “Conquering Gaul” Julius Caesar doubled the size of Rome by winning the war against Vercingetorix. Julius Caesar was able to conquer Gaul after no one else could even when the tribes became united for some time. Caesar did It in less than a month which makes him more of a hero to me. “The siege lasted little more than a month.” When news came back to the Romans back In Rome everyone instantly saw Julius Caesar as a hero because he did what no man could do by further expanding the size of Rome. …show more content…
