A noble man should be clever, loyal , and at the same time he should thrive under pressure. A noble man knows the right thing to do all the time. In the play Julius Caesar Brutus was a highly ranked and respected Roman who was once a close friend of Julius Caesar, until he decided to betray him because he thought it was better for the people of rome. At the end of the play Mark Antony, another high ranked roman who supports Caesar through the entire play describes Brutus as one of the Noblest roman of all time, after Brutus has died. However I absolutely disagree with this statement. Brutus was not noble because of the foolish and weak decisions that he has made, such as deciding to betray caesar without any logical reasons whatsoever. To begin, Brutus didn't have any sound reasons to kill Julius Caesar. In the play Brutus constantly claims that if Caesar becomes king of Rome, he would become ambitious and make all Romans his slaves . However, he himself disproves his reasoning to Kill Caesar. In his soliloquy, where brutus gives his reasoning to why he wants kill Caesar, Brutus states “ I know no personal reason to spurn him/ but for the general. Brutus did not see Caesar to ever be an oppressor, yet he predicted that Caesar will be a horrible dictator. Furthermore, a noble man should not let his emotions get in the way of his good reasoning. However, this is exactly what brutus does when he allows Gaius Cassius to convince him to betray Caesar and become a conspirator. Lastly, Brutus burns when he is on the hot seat. While he is about to lose a battle brutus chooses suicide over bravery . Brutus wasn't able to successfully solve any of his problems in the play. Overall Brutus` actions, behaviors, and decisions show no signs of being a noble
