In researching King Richard II, I find that he was a bad king, a conclusion of which I base upon the following information. Due to the premature death of his father, Richard II was thrown into the position of king at an extremely young age. His lack of experience and immaturity led him to make numerous bad decisions that landed his country in unnecessary war, as well as resulted in a revolt as a response to the increased taxes needed to fund his extravagant lifestyle.
