In the year of 1945, the U.S. had dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, causing a lot of damage. The U.S. was justified when dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima because the Japanese was already ready to surrender and the japanese was already defeated, so there was no point. The bomb killed so many lives that shouldn't have been taken. Thousands of innocent people died or got wounded very badly, which was very unnecessary. Some people even became really sick as well, which was completely unnecessary. Not only did the bomb kill thousands of people, houses and buildings got burned down, causing so many to be poor and homeless.
Before the U.S. dropped the bomb on the Japanese, Japanese was already losing in the war and was ready to surrender. In the document 2 it states, “The use of the barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already defeated and ready to surrender…” This text proves that the Japanese was already about to surrender. The Japanese was also already defeated, which meant that this was very unnecessary.

Adding to this, many lives were taken away, innocent lives. In document 3 it states, “The face of war is the face of death; death is an inevitable part of every order that a wartime leader gives. The decision that brought death to cover a hundred thousand Japanese…” As you can tell, the U.S already knew the what would happen if they dropped the bomb, but dropped it
