The Dropping of Atomic Bombs on Japan, is an argument that still gets discussed in the present days. Historians disagree with each other about the dropping of the bombs being a justified action. There are many arguments discussing this topic, making some of them stronger than the others, more justified than the ones that appear weaker.Arguments such as saving lives of both sides, Japanese war crimes and shortening of the war are some of the stronger justified reasons. Though people argue that there are unjustified reasons, such as that there alternatives, that it was inhuman and that it was used to scare the Russians/Soviet Union away were some of the stronger unjustified reasons. The torture of the prisoners was the first war crime committed against Americans. They have tortured troops for a long period of time, including constant abuse, starvation and forced labor. Though America still hasn’t declared war on Japan yet, the next war crime that Japan committed was attacking America without declaring war. The attack on Pearl Harbour (Neutral Powers) was considered a war crime which occurred on Sunday, December 7th of 1941, as Imperial Japan attacked it unannounced. Many civilians as well as workers passed away or were severely injured, causing destruction of military property as well as causing a massive destruction to Neutral Powers station. After those events, America declared war on Imperial Japan. Lastly, The Bataan Death March. The Bataan Death March was performed to relocate troops to a different location, killing those who weren't able to complete it. The bomb was considered inhuman, as it was considered inhuman. The damage has led to a horrible economic crisis, hunger and poverty, as well as mutations in both adults and children. Michael Barner States “Hundreds of thousands of civilians with no democratic rights to oppose their militarist government, including women and children, were vaporized, turned into charred blobs of carbon, horrifically burned, buried in rubble, speared by flying debris, and saturated with radiation.” Lots of citizens of Japan who have survived the war, have felt major anxiety and shame for bringing their families there, or surviving the bomb unlike their family members, who have been left with long life trauma as well as sickness. Those who couldn't deal with trauma, or were unable to cope with loss, have committed the act of suicide. Even though Japan was about to surrender themselves to the economic disadvantage, the bombs were used anyway, resulting in major deaths and destruction. The bomb was dropped on a nation that was already struggling as it was, having so much lost already as well as being almost wiped out from the face of the earth, is a strong unjustified argument.
