Was the Irgun a terrorist movement? The real question is how do you define a terrorist movement? By how many people they kill or how many attacks they make. The definition of a terrorist group is a political movement that uses terror as weapons to achieve its goal. I strongly believe that the Irgun were a terrorist movement because they committed over 70 crimes. The three main crimes that the Irgun committed were the Sergeants affairs, Deir Yassin and the bombing of the King David Hotel. The Sergeants affair was an incident that took place in Mandate Palestine in July 1947 during Jewish insurgency in Palestine. The Irgun kidnapped two British Army Intelligence Corps, Sergeant Clifford Martin and Sergeant Mervyn Paice and threatened to hang
