In order to reach our goals, follow our passions, conceive the unthinkable, we must step forward and face the world. When facing the world, we will learn through experiences to make us stronger and wiser people. For me, an experience like a trip to Washington D.C., would change my perspective and enrich my knowledge. Going to Washington D.C. will not only be a one week trip, but a lifetime of experiences that will affect and brighten the paths of my life. As a role model for my peers and my community, I must take challenges and learn more to be a better leader in society. At this point, I have a certain passion for aviation that after all has made me come up with a goal: become an aeronautical engineer. I would like to study in high-level universities, for example, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or the Georgia Institute of Technology. Getting to universities of that particular level isn’t an easy job, it is a challenge I pose to myself. A challenge of that magnitude will bring a lot of obstacles and one of the greatest obstacles is financial issues. In order to overcome this obstacle and many more, I must be determined and in that way, flourish in my life. I am also determined to always help my country and serve it. In such a small country, the future of it relies on only a handful of people and it is my duty to help El Salvador become a better place. My mother, who is currently working for a political party, is a major role model for me. She is someone whose steps I must follow and make my country stand tall between all the others.
