Watching the Film Crash directed by Paul Haggis was a great experience. The setting of the film takes place in the city of Los Angeles where viewers encounter a scene where Detective Graham, and partner Ria encounter themselves in a car accident with a women known as Kim Lee. As the scene continues officer Ria walks out the car she is in with Graham and confronts Kim Lee. When the scene is over it progresses to the day before. The trend that I see with many of the conversations, is that they all begin on a positive and calm note, and then escalate to being completely negative. The most common thing that I found interesting was how each conversation or scene had some type of symbolism of racial profiling. Another conversation that made me upset was how Officer John, and partner Tom are on patrol looking for the stolen S.U.V. As they approach an intersection they spot a similar S.U.V, and Officer John decides to pull it over. In the S.U.V is Christine and Cameron Thayer who are coming home from an event. When they get pulled over by Officer John you can immediately notice how he racially profiling both suspects. Officer John notices this move that Officer John has made and doesn’t like it. Officer John has convinced his partner that he is racist. These conversations were the ones I really took note of because they just have a lot of meaning. Throughout the movie, the message is clear about how people from many races are seen in society and how it is important for us viewers to see how it has impacted our society today. Crash is by far another favorite movie that I can always watch over and over
