The Watchmen graphic novel is a very entertaining and interesting book about masked vigilantes fighting against crime. In this comic not all masked heroes are good, which is one of the reasons why I took a lot of interest in this comic. Mouse was a very different graphic novel that takes you back to the early 1930’s and mid 1940’s. This is a well written book about a man’s life and his dad’s story during the Holocaust. This two graphic novels are very different in many ways but there are some connections between both of them to real life. In Watchmen text, a series of events took place. These two characters played a very big role in this book. What really hooked me on these characters was that they were crazy but very sane in their own ways. They saw life in a very unique way. They had seen all the bad and evil things in the world that other people were oblivious to. This was interesting to me, because things are not always what they seem. You always have to look outside the box to have a better understanding of life itself. I realized that these characters were not that crazy at all. I actually comprehend why they acted the way they did. In Mouse, however, it as a very different dilemma that I could not comprehend. In Mouse, the Nazis thought what they were doing was good, but really, their actions were evil. Hitler saw life in a totally different way. To him and the other Nazis it was very black and white. Nazis believed that Germans were superior to Jews, so they simply decided to get rid of them. These people were insane. No one in their right mind would do this kind of thing, and I can’t come up with reasons why Hitler would do such things. Whereas, in Watchmen I understand the logic behind their actions. This just makes me think of human nature. There are people who are crazy but can see outside the box; then there’s the people who are crazy and cannot see outside the
