There were big, Watery Droplets with strikes of lightning hitting the side of my John boat in the Everglades. Our 12 Gauge shotgun was locked and loaded getting ready for Big Mama. Meat hung from the trees, shotgun shells on the floor. We were in our raincoats trying to stay safe and dry from the rain and lighting. We see little gators swimming around ,but we came out here for the one, the only, Big Mama.
I was born in Anchorage, but I’ve made several ventures to other places in Alaska. They are as follows: Seward- I’ve been here mostly for the Seward Sealife Center, both on school field trips and for my sister’s ninth birthday. I love the Sealife Center; any collection of people that devote their time to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of animals has an A OK in my book. The whole facility is presented as a learning experience for visitors so while you get dive bombed by puffins, you get to know more about them.

In high school I was a part of the National Honor Society, where I helped plan some of the events. One event we did was the orientation for incoming freshmen. I helped think of activities, such as a scavenger hunt, for the students to learn about the resources they have available to them. I also helped plan a fundraiser for our club. We were able to have Chick-Fil-A sponser our club.

I never thought that I had stage fright. I only joined the DI (Destination Imagination) team so that I could hang out with my friends, but it was a pretty fun experience. At our first meeting we named ourselves the GlaDIator Animals. During our other practices and brainstorming sessions we would come up with some really great ideas for the skit we chose to perform. We needed to have characters from two nations so we chose to have a Canadian and an Irish themed character.

Descriptive Paragraph: The Storefront The wind batters the dilapidated store’s rain shattered doors, flinging them wide open and jerking them shut with a loud thud. In the caved-in front window hangs an illegible rusty neon sign. A rotten, soiled flag, barely clinging to the flagpole outside, snaps and curls around the gusts.
