In both passages “Watsons Go To Birmingham” and “Making Sarah Cry” have a common theme of Kindness. Although both passages share the same theme they have a different mood. In the story “Watsons Go To Birmingham” the mood is sad. In the story “Making Sarah Cry” the mood is also sad but it is also happy. In the play, “Watsons Go To Birmingham”, the author shows us that the kids in the story have kindness. In the beginning, Grandma Sands says “My beautiful family this is my friend Mr.Robert.” This fits the claim because, in the beginning, Grandma Sands says “My beautiful family this is my friend Mr.Robert.” this is kindness because she is calling her family beautiful and if someone called me beautiful that would be being kind and nice because they are giving you a compliment. In the middle, Mr. Robert takes the kids to a movie theater. “Weeks later Mr.Robert takes the children to a movie theater. Four tickets please.” In the middle, Mr. Robert takes the kids to a movie theater. This is kindness because he is taking them to something fun and when someone takes me to a movie or to go do something like that I would think that would be kind of them to do. In the end “ Byron gets a tissue and wipes Kenny tears away. You 're going to be alright Kenny. How do you know?
