Where we’re from, who we know, and how our mental makeup is, is very important in our lives. It can be the deciding factor between life in prison and a life dedicated to giving back to others. In The Other Wes Moore, The lives of two young men are examined through three distinct lenses, how the role our environment, social capital (How we get ahead by helping each other) and how our mindset can dictate who we become later on in life. Both of these young men grew up in roughly the same environment, the ghettos of Baltimore, Maryland and the Bronx, New York, respectively.

Furthermore, the story follows how a new coach is able to rebuild a football team, as well as a community stricken with grief.
Foreman (Juror 1): He is an assistant football coach at a High School. Elected as the foreman of the jury, he has the responsibility to keep the jury process organized. Although he is not particularly bright, he is dogged. Initially, he struggled to keep up with his authority. Eventually, he managed to weight to his authority as the foreman as well as his opinions.
He tells us that if he falls in love with this girl, he knows his life will be changed forever. He knew that his life would never be the same and his love for Daisy will never stop and ever since then they have been in love. But sadly Gatsby returns back to war and they don't speak again.
This shows us that Cadence is imagining Gat giving her these flowers. Cadence seeing these flowers symbolizes her love for Gat. This is why Cadence gets mad when she sees Gat sending dried roses to another girl. When Cadence sees these dried beach roses on the tire swing, we can see that she still loves Gat, even though he is dead.

The show premiere that I watched was Once Upon a Time; the broadcast network is ABC, and it aired on Sunday September 25 at 7/8c. This is the show’s sixth season. The show is based on story book characters that come to the real world after one of their own, The Evil Queen or Regina, casted a curse that made them forget who they were, and the only two people who knows that they are story book characters are a boy, Henry, and the Evil Queen who cursed them. The boy was adopted by Regina, but he is actually the son of the only person who can save them. At the end of the first season the “savior”, which is what Emma Swan is sometimes called, begins to believe that they are story characters.
Nick is the only one who begins to experience true love towards Gatsby. As their bond grew so did his respect and admiration. Gatsby falls in love with Daisy the first minute he meets her and never stops loving her even though she has obviously moved on. Gatsby does everything he can to be closer to her like buying “that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay” (78). Gatsby knows that if he can get the girl of his dreams he will not feel lonely anymore. " He talked a lot about the past… he wanted to recover something, some idea of himself perhaps, that had gone into loving Daisy. His life had been confused and disordered since then, but if he could once return to a certain starting place and go over it all slowly, he could find out what that thing was” (87).
One of the main characters in the novel We Were Liars is Cadence Sinclair Eastman. She has developed throughout the book. In the beginning of the novel, she is a teenager that had just been through an unspecified accident which left her unable to remember the key details of an entire summer. Throughout the book, she starts to remember more and more of ‘summer fifteen’ with the help of her friends, Johnny, Mirren, and Gat. When she finally realizes what happened, she realizes that her three closest friends are all apparitions she imagines because of her subconscious remorse of what she had done.
