For a website, the most important thing is not about how many pageviews you can amass. It is about understanding each click and the economic value that each click can translate into. Web analytics redefines what the data means online. A website can accomplish this by analyzing the data your website has collected. By analyzing the data, the website can optimize web usage and improve the effectiveness of the website. Most web analytic processes have four key components. The first component is the collecting of data, where analysts collect all the data from the website’s data analytical tool. The next step is processing the data, where the data is turned into metrics. The third step is developing key performance indicators by using the metrics and business strategies. Lastly, the fourth step is to formulate the website strategy by using goals and objectives with your analytics to optimize your website’s economic potential. By using page caching, it allows your website to give a visitor a better overall experience. When a visitor is searching the web and there is poor loading time, it will hinder the visitor experience. As a result, it hurts the website’s chances of turning visitors into buyers. Just half of a second can mean the difference between obtaining a customer and losing a customer. A website can improve load time by using file deflation, HTML file size optimization, GZIP file compression and external CSS style sheets. There are a couple of methods to page caching. One method is alternative PHP caching, which is an open source frame work that caches data using PHP code. Another method is QuickCache, which caches the page output rather than accumulating the PHP page; thus, making this a better method to use since it has a faster load
