I will collect the data from assessment and use it to improve my teaching and student learning. Standardized tests should be given to the students twice in a term and teacher based tests given at the end of the week. The students should have peer assessments every two weeks and self assessments. Examination should be administered once every term. The actual setup for my classroom will be daily homework and class work, the students have a standardised test once a term and teacher based test twice a term. Peer and self assessment is done every two weeks. The relationship between assessment curriculum and teaching is that the curriculum gives clear statements and goals on what the learner should learn, do or understand, (week 1, lecture 3 and week 2, lecture 2). The teacher designs assessment to align with these goals or skills from the curriculum and uses the assessment data to improve his / her teaching techniques as to who should be taught what next, or closing the gap, or changing his/her teaching methods and ensuring the students learn/understand what the curriculum wants them to learn. It helps the teacher's classroom teaching because it reflects what the learners currently understand about what is being taught and the teacher make adjustments in her teaching immediately. Student Written Work allows the student's time to focus on what they have learnt and to ensure they can put it into practice on their own. Students written work helps the teacher know that the learner fully understands the concept from the curriculum and allows the teacher provide feedback to the student. This type of assessment reflects if the student has attained the curriculum goals to a large extent. The students easily see feedback and make reference to it. It helps the teacher and the student monitor the learning and strive to attain curriculum goals. Marked Homework helps to reinforce the student knowledge at home and ensure he can do carry out the tasks on his own. It gives the teacher feedback on the student's capacity outside the classroom.
