Introduction The patient is a 14-year old female named Jane. Her BMI had been previously found to be in the overweight category. Jane's weight has been increasing each year steadily for the last six years by an average of 10 to 15 lbs. The patient's BMI has now progressed into the obese category for her age according to her recent well-child visit report, something that is of concern to her primary care physician.
