I grabbed an interest in this career because my Great Grandpa used to weld for companies and got me into welding at a young age. I want to have a job in this career field because they can make good money. I also want to have a job in this career field because they get to travel a lot. I am a good fit for this career because I have been welding since a young age. Welders have many responsibilities, for example, operating grinding equipment (“Task List 1”). Lucky the school, I go to a school that offers welding classes and classes that will help you get a headstart. I am also lucky that I had a great grandpa that taught me how to Weld when I was 6 years old. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits(“Licensing / Certification” 1). Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications (“Licensing / Certification” 1). I will need to pass multiple safety tests. I will have to know how to use the machines and what the different applications are for. I will need to get my high school diploma if I want to have a high paying job. In order to become a Welder, I will need to. Keeping track of how well people and/or groups are doing in order to make improvements (“Welders, Cutters, Solderers, & Brazers”). I will also need to notice a problem and figure out the best way to solve it (“Welders, Cutters, Solderers, & Brazers”).
