Wonder is a heart-warming book that is enjoyable from start to finish. Where many books that attempt to carry an emotional message to kids tend to drag at times, Wonder never loses its momentum. RJ Palacio tells the story through six different narrators, keeping the story fresh by adding the insights of each to the story as it moves forward. This narrative style helps Palacio create many well-developed characters. We feel the courage of the protagonist, Auggie, as he attempts to gain acceptance from his classmates despite his disfigurement. Auggie demonstrates his fearlessness as he responds to repeated humiliations with humor and understanding. We also watch Via, Auggie’s older sister, as she struggles to protect Auggie and at the same time
